 Operation Sindoor: India's Precision Strikes Eliminate Over 100 Terrorists in Pakistan

In a decisive response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives, India launched "Operation Sindoor," targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation resulted in the elimination of over 100 terrorists, according to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The Indian Air Force conducted synchronized precision strikes on nine terror camps associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Utilizing advanced weaponry, including SCALP missiles and HAMMER bombs, the 25-minute operation was executed without breaching Pakistani airspace. 

Following the operation, an all-party meeting was convened, where Defence Minister Singh briefed political leaders on the mission's success. Opposition figures, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, expressed full support for the government's actions and commended the armed forces' efforts. 

Pakistan condemned the strikes, alleging civilian casualties and vowing retaliation. Claims of downing Indian aircraft were made, though India refuted these assertions. 

The international community has expressed concern over the escalating tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors, urging restraint and diplomatic engagement to prevent further conflict.

Operation Sindoor remains ongoing, with Indian forces maintaining a state of high alert. The government has stated that India will not initiate further action unless provoked by Pakistan.
