In view of the tension between India and Pakistan, East Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mehbooba Mufti has urged India to take initiative to increase the situation. Emphasizing the stature of India as the world's largest democracy and an emerging global power, Mufti highlighted the responsibility of the country and to lead with diplomacy and peace rather than military.
Mufti said in a post in X (East Twitter), "It is a moment to stand long for India and display that its real strength lies in its soft power and commitment to peace, not in Nax," Free said in a post on X (East Twitter). He warned against relying on incompatible international support and advocated embrace his leadership role in the subcontinent for India and by taking the first step towards D-Syscalance. Mufti's remarks were in terms of recent American diplomatic interventions, the purpose of reducing the situation. Initially, American Vice President J. D. Vance indicated that the US would not interfere beyond a certain point. However, as the enmity intensified, US State Secretary Marco Rubio was engaged in discussion with Asim Munir, head of the Pakistani Army, urged the two countries to find D-Suscule methods. A deadly attack on Indian tourists in Kashmir in April caused existing tension, causing a series of attacks from two atomic-head neighbors. Targeting the terrorist launchpad in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, the situation went ahead with India's "Operation Sindoor", followed by retaliation from Pakistan.
In response to the growing struggle, the United States, along with other international actors, facilitated diplomatic efforts as a result of a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. President Donald Trump announced a "full and immediate" ceasefire, praising the leadership of the two countries for prioritizing diplomacy. As part of the agreement, India and Pakistan have committed to start a wide range of issues at a neutral location, which marks an important step in their efforts to increase stress.
Despite the ceasefire, the underlying tension remained, with the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty and the ongoing mistrust between the two countries. Mufti's call for India underlines the importance of continuous diplomatic engagement and the discovery of permanent peace in the region to lead in de-escase efforts.
